Naomi Washer’s experimental memoir, Marginalia: An Autobiography, will be published by Autofocus in Fall 2025. Her debut novel, Subjects We Left Out (Veliz Books), was named a Finalist in Literary Fiction for the 2021 Foreword INDIES Book of the Year Awards. She is also the author of several chapbooks across genre including Trainsongs (Greying Ghost Press), American Girl Doll (Ursus Americanus Press), and Phantoms (dancing girl press), as well as a translation of Sebastián Jiménez Galindo's Experimental Gardening Manual (Toad Press). Her work has appeared in Seneca Review, Essay Daily, Asymptote, and other journals, and is forthcoming in an anthology of North American responses to Fernando Pessoa. She has received fellowships and support from Yaddo, Vermont Studio Center, Studio Faire, Chateau Orquevaux, and Columbia College Chicago where she earned her MFA in Nonfiction. She co-founded Ghost Proposal in 2012 and served as its Editor-in-Chief until 2022.
